Still Waiting on my review?
If you are one of the unlucky ones that I have not gotten to your review yet take Heart, I am moving slower than a snail but will eventually get caught up. I can't seem to shake this bug that has a hold on me. One minute I feel like I am getting over it and the next I feel like crap. I have read Angels and Aliens but have not posted my results yet, maybe that will be tomorrow's post. I don't know how I will feel one minute to the next so who knows? I had promised last week to review another book for its' cover revealed and debut week but my illness prevented it. I will try to do it Wednesday if I can. Have a great day and stay well! My review of Life II and other comments.
We have all seen movies or read stories where the main character goes back in the past to make or correct something but Scott has his character go back inside his past body using help from Aliens to change his mundane life. I found this a very interesting read while I was very sick with the flu, hence the late posting. What I didn't include in my review was the torment Max, the main character went through when he realized changing his path when he was still a young man meant he would not have his two children to look forward to in his adult life. By changing his path in life, he caused several of his close friends to change their paths away from him.
Maybe it was because I was sick that I started to think about decisions I made in my life that had huge ramifications but seemed minor at the time. The effect it had on my family along with my friends was significant as time went on. You may understand this going through little changes that had a big impact on your future, good or bad. At the time, you didn't think so. I know I didn't!
Review of Life II by Scott Spotson – Five stars
How many people would love to go back in time to a pivotal age and making
changes that point their life into a new direction? Forty-two year old, Max
Thorning did. Solving a puzzle hidden in an old book, Max thinks he is being
given the location to a hidden fortune waiting to be discovered. Instead at the
location, he discovers Doctor Time and given the opportunity to go back as himself
at age sixteen and change his life out of the mundane direction he had taken
with a wife he really didn’t love or being with. Accepting the offer, Max is
sent back in time with his forty-two years of knowledge to assume his sixteen
year old body.
Little does Max know that changes he makes in his life also causes changes
in the lives around him with dire consequences when compared to the life he knew
they lived before he made changes. At
times he regrets his actions and wishes to be back in his original body but
learns it is a one way trip.
Very interesting read, one that touches on everyone’s wish
to relive some of their life’s decisions. I highly recommend it. Available on Amazon and other locations wherever ebooks are sold or paperbacks. Ask for it by name. Sorry I don't have a link for it off hand.

Too sick to blog!
I am glad whatever I have can't be transmitted over the Internet. I know today I am suppose to blog my review of Angels and Aliens followed by my review of Life II by Scott Spotson. I have read the books but don't feel I can concentrate well enough to do the books justice so I will wait until in the morning and see if I am focused enough to write my review. Don't hold your breath. This has put me into bed for two days and only today did I feel like attempting to do anything. You know I must be sick not to even write on my latest book, Jody's Dilemma, You all out there watch this flu going around, it is a tough one.

Over tweeting can cost you followers!
I learned the hard way that over tweeting to your followers can drive them away especially writers. As part of a competition it was required that we tweet several times a day over 165 tweets each time. Several of the contestants ending up in twitter jail for violating their tweet rules of so many per hour and so many per day. Today, seeing my followers decreasing again, I made the decision to do it only once per day and only the forty finalist, not everyone. I was glad my book made it to the finals but now feel it is time to move on. I am seven books or more behind in reviewing so expect me to post reviews just about each day next week or as fast as I can read the books then post my review. I do not believe in skimming through the book then throwing together a hasty review. So Talk Back, I'm Listening

WHY DO I BLOG?
I first learned to blog when I found out that it is the writer's job to promote their books. Publisher no longer push them. Now, I blog because I want to stay in touch with the people out on social media that I have become friends with and feel like I need to let them know what is going on in my life. I also blog reviews of books that I have read and get other's feedback on what they thought of the book as well. I have joined several sites and comment on several threads giving my two cents worth even though sometimes it is not even worth that but I comment anyway. I have interviewed several authors on my sites and will continue to do so. I have joined networking blogs, Bloglovin, Bloggers and over sites so feel free to follow me and throw in your two cents on whatever I am blogging about today. I have several blogs but normally use this one and the one on Wordpress to say what is on my mind. My other sites are mainly about a particular book of mine. Marsocial is another site that I can be found on http://marssocial.com/groups/Lightning-Chronicles I try to chat there at least every other day.
Now I ask what do you blog about? You can follow my blogs and I will follow you back if you have a follow button.

An unusual Contest
A lot of authors (Writers) enter contests trying to get their name out and the name of the books trying to find readers also to be able to brag about winning with the hope that everyone would buy their book because it is a winner. I am a finalist in a unique contest where winning is not the most important thing but supporting other writers and making friends is the most important criteria of the contest. It is an International even with writers entering their book excerpts from all over the world. Since it is an international contest in English that was one of the limiting aspects.
What makes this unique is everyone is tweeting and posting on various sites such as Google plus, LinkedIn, GoodReads, Tumbler, along with Facebook each others excerpts giving world wide publicity to each of the 170 excerpt entries. It has been narrowed down now to the finalist with the winners and twenty runners up being named on February 1, 2014. The contest I am speaking of is on Marsocial.com called the Author of the year contest. The grand winner will have their book made into a movie. So drop by and give a little support to everyone. Here is a copy of my entry tweet, you can drop by and read the whole excerpt if you desire.
