Neil's first date in seven years.

Neil was ecstatic as he watched Denise walk away after asking him to go dancing after her shift ended. Neil didn't even set up his laptop as he normally did on Friday night, instead he looked at the sloppy clothing he wore. His pullover he bought at the thrift store and his baggy pants that clashed.
Neil decided he had to go shopping, he couldn't take her out dressed as a bum.
"I'll be back by ten," Neil said as he handed Denise the money to cover his check and a little extra.
"I'll be ready after I change," Denise gave him a wink and swayed away.
Neil grabbed his laptop, exiting the restaurant in haste. Driving to the nearest mall, he went in. He bought a western shirt that buttoned up and a new pair of jeans. He would have to wear his shoes instead of boots, boots were too expensive. Neil didn't like hats so he passed on that purchase as well.
Taking his new clothing back to his bachelor apartment, he quickly showered, shaved and trimmed his mustache before he dressed. Feeling he was at least presentable, he headed out to his car.
Stopping by the ATM, Neil picked up an extra hundred out of his account. He arrived at the restaurant five minutes to ten.
Denise looked him up and down, then smiled while pointing at the counter for him to sit there and wait until she finished her shift and dressed.
"I'll have a cup of coffee," Neil said to Jennifer, the other waitress. She grinned at Neil then glanced over at Denise cleaning up her station from the last customers.
Neil's jaw dropped at 10:25 when Denise came out of the bathroom. She was drop dead gorgeous, her sandy blonde hair shimmered from beneath her tan cowboy hat. He noticed her boots matched her hat and her jeans hugged her curves in all the right places. Her cowgirl shirt looked like it was made of deerskin and her belt buckle had a wolf howling at the moon.
Neil felt under-dressed but her smiling face wiped any doubts he had about going dancing with her. She seemed to approve of his attire.
"You look fabulous," Neil said while he hastily stood up and threw a couple of dollars on the counter.
"Thank you," Denise paused next to him. To Neil, her smile was genuine, not the one she wore for customers.
Denise started walking toward the exit carrying her work clothes and shoes in a bag. Neil quickly followed and stepped ahead of her to open the door for her.
She knew his car, heading straight for the passenger side. and pausing outside to allow him to open the door for her. Once Neil had the door open, she tossed her bag in the backseat and climbed in. He closed the door and rushed around the car to enter himself. His stomach was in a knot from nervousness.
By the time he entered the car, she had already fastened her seat belt, he did the same before inserting his key into the ignition. His hand was shaking while starting the car, Denise noticed. When Neil went to shift the car into reverse, she placed her hand upon his shaking hand.
"I know this is a scary time for both of us, just relax and enjoy." Denise said giving him a grin.
"I'll try," Neil muttered, then counted to himself, trying to relax while backing out of the parking space.
"I haven't been on the town for over two years, since my divorce, so I know how you feel." Denise said trying to calm him. Neil kept glancing at her as he settled down, her grin did the trick.
When they came to the parking lot exit, he glanced at her and asked, "Which way to Country Jacks?"
"Take a left out of here and I will tell you what to do after that."
Besides giving directions, their conversation was lacking on the drive to Country Jacks but they did smile at each other a lot.
Finding parking near the entrance was not available, Neil asked, "Would you like me to let out out near the entrance while I find a parking spot?"
"That would be nice,"
Neil pulled back in front of the entrance and put the car in park. Denise started to let herself out, but stopped as Neil hopped out and ran around to her side to open the door. His gentlemanly manners warmed her inside.
After parking the car, Neil rushed back to Denise and offered her his arm so he could escort her inside. They had a band tonight, so there was a cover charge. Neil paid and they went inside.
Neil had never been inside a place like this before, there were wall to wall patrons with no vacant place for them to sit. Denise clung to his arm so they wouldn't get separated trying to navigate through the crowd. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, laughing, joking creating a fun atmosphere.
Finally they found what looked like an empty table near the dance floor. It had seating for four but two of the chairs were missing.
"This will do," Denise said quickly sitting down, Neil sat next to her, but not real close.
"What can I get you, two?" The smiling waitress asked leaning toward them to hear. She had just finishing serving the table next to them.
"I'll take a tequila sunrise," Denise said glancing at Neil adding, "I haven;t had one of those in years."
"I'll take whiskey and coke," Neil said, the waitress abruptly turned away and disappeared.
"I used to come here all the time," Denise leaned close to Neil so speak. The noise level was so loud. "Even after the children were born, I used to con my mother-in-law into watching them so I could come here. I just love to dance."
Hearing the music, Neil noted she was starting to fidget and move to the music while smiling at him. They listened to the music until their drinks were brought. Neil sipped a little of his drink but she downed nearly half of hers, grabbed his hand and pulled him onto the dance floor.
Neil wasn't surprised when she took the lead on the floor to teach him how to two-step. She kept him dancing until they played a slow song, then she led him back to the table.
Neil was surprised when she downed her drink, lifting her empty glass for the waitress going by to see. She gave Denise a nod and glanced at Neil, he shook his head no, he was still sipping. Denise tried to pay for her drink but Neil was having none of that.
She laughed and said, "I thought this was a dutch date."
Denise downed half of her second drink then grasped his hand, leading him back on the dance floor. He noticed she was getting a little tipsy, so he steadied her. She kept giggling a lot.
They danced until the band started playing another slow song, "This time I can lead, I know how to waltz." She giggled and let him lead. It felt so good to Neil holding her close, she smelt so nice and as the song progressed, she allowed him to hold her closer and closer until her body was pressed tightly against his. She rested her head on his shoulder from time to time. When the song was over Neil had the urge to kiss her but refrained from doing so as he led her back to the table.
Denise moved her chair over until they were sitting side by side. She finished her drink and flagged down the waitress for another. Neil had his arm around her, she snuggled up to him. Still sipping his drink, Neil was enjoying himself.
Denise downed her drink in one gulp as Neil was paying for it, and ordered another. Neil finally finished his and ordered another. When the drinks arrived, Denise let Neil pay for it but then took him out on the floor, again. He had to hold her close, she was a little wobbly but once the music started, she was so graceful on the floor.
While dancing another slow one, near the end of the song, Neil felt she wanted him to kiss her, so he did. They were still kissing when the music stopped, swaying in each others arms, they were lost in their passionate kisses.
Being the only ones on the dance floor, the band got the hint and played another slow song, bringing all the other lovers out on the floor to join them.
Finally realizing the band had stopped once again when they announced they were taking a break, Neil and Denise made their way to their table, arm in arm, their bodies clinging to one another.
Denise downed her drink while Neil sipped, then he whispered in a seductive voice, "Would you like to go to your apartment and dance some more?"
The look she gave him told him she had more than dancing on her mind. He kissed her another passionate kiss that took both their breaths away. "Sure, if that's what you want."
Her next kiss told him that was definitely what she wanted.
Neil had to steady her on the long walk to the car but the cool fresh air seemed to sober her up a little. He wondered if she would change her mind but she snuggled close to him, touching him on the ride to the apartment. She appeared somewhat sober walking up the stairs to his apartment, still she clung to him and stopped him occasionally to kiss him on the way up.
Inside his apartment, Neil was a little embarrassed seeing his clothes thrown around and on the bed after his hasty shower. She didn't seem to notice as she went straight to the radio and tuned it to a country station while he picked up his clothes.
It was a normal bachelor apartment, one room, besides the bathroom. Denise surprised him by not sitting in a chair, instead sitting on the bed. She smiled when a song came on and she reached out her arms for him to take for a dance. Being a slow song, she got as close as she could to him, breathing hard. Half way through the song, she started unbuttoning his shirt. Neil couldn't resist unsnapping her blouse. He struggled a little with the bra but soon it was skin against skin. Both were breathing heavily as the dance progressed.
Smiling or grinning at each other, they knew what they wanted. Denise flopped on the bed saying, "I need help getting my boots off."  Neil removed her boots, then she stuck up her legs, again, "And the jeans."
Neil removed her jeans and stood there admiring her fine body, she unfastened his jeans before sliding up on bed, allowing him to remove his other clothing while she removed her panties.

Neil's rejoining society after his incarnation and release

The Third post about Neil Armstrong Andrews before the Marauder came about. We left Neil just getting released from prison and staying at a halfway house. For the first year he was required to wear an ankle monitor so they would know where he was at all times. He was allowed to go to work but the only job available was at a fast food joint. Finally, after working there one year, they decided he was no longer a flight risk. He worked and went to college trying to finish up his degree. Through his Professor, Neil obtained a job as a lab chemist in a chemical company. This allowed him to find a decent apartment and purchase a car. Neil transferred to a named four year college he could afford. Neil's life existed in working and going to college. Everyday he worked, went to the gym after, showered and went to his night classes. His greatest joy was buying a computer and spending hours each night on the Internet. Over time, he came in contact with several scientist's world wide. He loved to debate theories and hear other scientist's thoughts several hours each night and most of his time on the weekends. Neil had come to accept the fact that he would never fulfill his lifelong dream of going to space. After eight months living in his new place discovered the local restaurant he frequented after work each night had WiFi, so he bought a laptop. Friday nights became a routine of eating and discussing theories on the Internet.

"Don't you ever do anything on Friday nights except look at that screen and type constantly?" Denise asked. Neil looked up at the waitress speaking to him as she placed his check on the table. Neil thought she was attractive, but the ring on her left hand told him she was taken.

Neil grinned at her smiling face knowing she was only being sociable before he spoke. "On Friday's, since I don't have classes to attend, I like sitting here with people around instead of my lonely apartment."

"You don't have a lady friend to take out on Fridays?" Neil laughed as she added, "Or do you prefer men?"

"No, I prefer women, I was married once but it didn't work out." Neil picked up his laptop turning his attention away from Denise. He wasn't aware of the bitterness of his tone.

"Are you a wife beater or something?" Denise started to edge away from Neil.

"Nothing like that, I almost killed someone that made unflattering remarks about her--I went to prison for that. She divorced me and I haven't seen her since." Neil didn't look at Denise as he laid his money on the check.

Six months later, Neil was once again in the restaurant on Friday night and Denise was his waitress. He noticed that she was no longer wearing a wedding ring when she served his food. Being a creature of habit, he normally ordered the same thing each time, a T-bone steak cooked well.

Denise quickly served another table before coming over to remove his plate as Neil sat and watched her.

She spoke as she removed his plate so he could set up his laptop. "Did you and your wife have any children?"

"Not that I am aware of, she claimed she was with child but I feel she did that so her parents would accept me, then marriage was annulled. So I have no idea."

"So you two were only married a short time, did she give you any reason for leaving you?"

"Her last words to me were 'You're one stupid son of a bitch. You had it made then you fucked it up!  I hope you rot in jail.' She might have said more but they were forcing me into the back of the police car and I couldn't hear."

"It must be hard never knowing if you have a child out there that you will never see nor hold." Denise barely finished her sentence before having to dash off with his plate and wait on another group of patrons.

For some reason Neil did not set up his laptop, instead he watched Denise, feeling she wanted to talk more. His instincts were right, after taking their orders and serving drinks, Denise came back to his table placing her knee upon a chair before speaking, a usual sign when she wanted to chat. Seeing her hesitation, Neil spoke.

"How are the girls?" she mentioned she had two daughters, Heather twelve and Lori ten in a previous conversation.

"Oh the girls are just fine, they are spending the night at friends--do you have a girlfriend now?" Denise smiled when Neil shook his head "No" and dropped his head in embarrassment of his lonely status.

"Do you dance?" Denise asked as Neil quickly lifted his head up looking at the smiling face.

"A little, I haven't danced in years." The smile never left Denise's face, just expanded hearing his answer.

"Since I'm free, no kids to run home to, how about going with me to Country Jack's and have a couple of drinks, I'll teach you what you don't remember." Neil grinned, "I'll be happy to go with you."

"I get off at ten." Neil felt like dancing on the table. This was the first time since before prison that a woman had really shown interest in him. Stowing his laptop, he watched Denise saunter away donning the biggest smile he had ever seen. Her seductive moves signaled she was happy he agreed.

Tune in next post called- Neil has a date!

Neil is forced to control his fiery temper and change!

Neil Armstrong Andrews went to prison after losing control and nearly killing two men with a pool stick after one remarked that the child Neil's wife carried "Could have been fathered by any number of men, she was a known whore." Neil flew into such a rage, he even hit the policeman trying to stop him from killing the man. Neil learned quickly that rich people have great power and influence on Judges. His wife never spoke to him nor did she even try to see him, instead filed for an annulment of their marriage right away. By the time Neil arrived to prison, he had the paperwork stating an annulment had been granted by the same judge that sentenced him to fourteen years. Since they were married for less than six months, there was no mention of a child because she was not showing as of yet. Neil entered prison angry and frustrated after allowing his court appointed attorney to plead guilty to a lesser charge. He convinced Neil he would get one year, or probation at max, if he did. Placed in a medium security prison, Neil found it was easy to get in fights especially when they learned the smallest item set him off. In his third year, Neil made a mistake taking on three inmates at once. He was lucky the guards saved him or they would have beaten him to death. While recuperating, the Warden came to talk with him about joining an anger management group. When he was able, Neil began participating in the group, but spent most of his time in the gym and reading books, especially physic's books. Slowly the group caused him to face his anger and he gradually put it behind him. In his fourth year, he fought no one, nor did he react to snide comments. Neil was a changed man. In his fifth year, the Warden, guards and other inmates were sure he was a changed man. Due to overcrowding in the prisons, Neil came up for probation, they denied it but recommended he be looked at closely the next year.  After six years, Neil was granted his freedom, sort of. He had to stay where they said, wearing an ankle monitor. He was sent to a halfway house to re-introduce him into society. The only work he could find was at a fast food place since he was a convict. He worked and attended college wanting to finish his degree, he was a year away from his bachelor's when he went to prison. After a year wearing the monitor, they released him but kept him on probation for another two years. Neil was only interested in getting his degrees. He was finally offered a junior chemist job at a chemical company. The pay wasn't the best, but it allowed him to get a decent place and attend a better college. He sought his Masters degree in chemistry and physics. Once in a while, Neil would wonder if hie ex-wife had a boy or girl? He wondered if the child knew about him, or had she remarried and given the child another person's last name? His attempts at locating her had failed. It seemed no one knew where she moved to or if she even had a child. It was as if that part of his life never occurred. Read more in my next post......

Chronicles of the Marauder-Prison-End of Neil's dreams

Neil never knew anything other than bad luck since his birth. He never knew who his mother or father were, he was given up for adoption at birth. He knew that Neil Armstrong Andrews was not his first name but he couldn't recall it. After two years in foster care, he had been adopted by the Andrews and given that name. Having a terrible temper and not knowing how to love, he was sent to the orphanage where he grew up under that name. His hateful attitude and terrible temper kept him in the orphanage. Every time anyone tried to make him a home, they had to send him back unable to control or make him mind. He got violent with the last ones trying to adopt him.The one thing they all agreed upon was he was a very bright and intelligent child. Science and math was his love. He did play baseball growing up, this was his first attempt at being a team player. He was good but his fiery temper would cause the coaches to side line him more than play him. As he grew up, his mind became engrossed in his studies. At college, the Professors all label him one of the brightest minds they saw in a long time. But college became his undoing when he met this fun loving young woman and fell in love with her. When her parents forbade them to marry, they eloped and were happy for a time. Neil had no idea she was the daughter of a very wealthy family. She tried to introduce Neil to her real world. Her parents grudgingly admitted him into their lives, even promising once they learned she was pregnant to get him a high paying job once he graduated. One holiday season, she took him to her parents mansion to party with her social equals. Neil was so proud of the child his wife carried, he couldn't resist telling everyone. While playing pool with several of her so called friends, one made a remark about whether the child was his or someone else, they said she slept with several of them since getting married, so he needed to be sure. Neil's temper which was always simmering below the surface exploded in full force. Neil attacked the speaker and when his friend tried to stop Neil from beating him to a pulp, Neil grabbed a pool stick and nearly killed the both of them. He did cripple for life the man speaking against his wife. When the cops arrived, Neil was in such a rage, he started hitting the cops with the broken pool stick before they subdued him and took him off to jail. While in jail, she never posted his bail keeping him there until his trial. Neil having no money for a lawyer had to use a public defender that encouraged him to plead guilty to assault saying he would get off easy but he didn't count on the power of the rich to see that he got the maximum sentence. His secret dreams of working for NASA or some other space agency died when the Judge pounded his gavel. Neil went to prison......

I decided to give a count down deal on Amazon a shot.

I decided to do a countdown deal on Amazon but I did not have it drop all the way to 99 cents but did drop it for eighty hours down to $1.99 and after eighty hours it goes up to $2.99 before returning after eighty more hours back to its regular price of $3.99. I didn't  want to cheapen my book by dropping it all down to less than a dollar. The countdown started yesterday and will run through April 12, 2016.  You can find it at this link: http://www.amazon.com/Lightning-Tunnel-In-Beginning-Book-ebook/dp/B017PL35Y4/ref=pd_rhf_se_p_img_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=0QEBZD5M22PY4FMB2EC4  Of course those on Amazon Prime can downloaded it for free.

The first time I did place a book for 99 cents or less. I had over two hundred downloads on the first day but have not sold that one since then. So I bought into on LinkedIn writer saying that if you do so, it cheapens your work and when you do put the price back, most won't pay that price waiting on you to lower your price. Another item, I only got two reviews on that book from all those I gave away.

Thanks, talk back, I'm listening. ALWAYS!

Part two of why I wrote my first series and the thoughts behind it

It might shock you to learn that I originally started writing the series in 1987. There are at least twenty versions of the story I wrote before my wife convinced me to actually publish in 2011. She convinced me to remove some of the more controversial parts but she could not get me to remove him having several lovers. She then told me "There is no way in hell several women could agree to share one man and later marry him!" I thought about it and agreed but didn't remove it from the story. My reasoning was Michele (who was his lover, not his wife) had to make a choice. Either kill the females that came onto him or share him for the good of the group. Brad was reluctant, loving his wife Vicki but he was unsure if she was dead or alive, so he went along, grudgingly. My wife finally bought that, knowing they were a tight knit group having to depend on each other to survive. Once that ball got rolling, it was hard for him to say no to others that may want to join the circle they created. What Brad didn't understand was why Michele wanted to add more women to the circle. He was told he didn't have a choice in the matter even when a couple of crazy-killer women became part of the circle. At least Bitch could be controlled, somewhat... The story encompasses their escape from the "living dead," (Tina's words) describing those affected by radiation that thought they should do nothing but party. Punish those not affected or members of the gangs that took over Los Angeles when the authorities failed to step up. They lived by their own rules, and their rules were not healthy for Brad and his small group, or anyone else for that matter. That was the concept I used to create the multi-lovers/wives. I will post on this subject again this Thursday to talk about their steps to stay alive.

Have a great day, talk back, I'm listening as always!

Why I wrote my first series and the thoughts behind it.

Why I wrote my first series.

by agmoye
lightningintunnelnew Some of you may already know, but I was just a teenager when my mother remarried and moved us to California. Leaving the small town I grew up in, (less than 3,000 residents) and moving to Los Angeles was one helluva culture shock for this country grown boy. From the females introducing themselves, to the size of the city, it was a great adjustment. I personally witnessed the Watts riots and the turmoil that accompanied it. The fear that spread to the surrounding areas would spill over into our communities. I witnessed several business owners taking their weapons to protect their property, but lucky for everyone, it was contained in Watts. Over the years, I witnessed more riots including the East LA riots where the Hispanic community exploded. Up to that point I only wrote mysteries, but the last riot made me think. What if a real catastrophic event hit Los Angeles and the authorities were unable to rush in and keep things under control. There had been many stories about earthquakes, but I knew when they occurred it would not be total collapse because outside services would rush in and stabilize the situation. It had to be an event where others were occupied, unable to respond. I picked a nuclear war as the backdrop of my story. With the armed forces occupied fighting a war and protecting the home land, they would not concern themselves with activities in one big city that was nuked. So that was the side story. Next I had to create my main character, which I did by creating Brad Phillips, a handsome man and a survivalist that makes the story more believable. His beautiful sexy wife, Vicki and their three children, Cindi (17) Brian (16) and Brad junior (9). A perfectly normal family that starts to become dysfunctional when Brian joins a neo-nazi type group, dumping his old friends and making new friends. Brian is extremely jealous of his perfect older sister and starts to hate her. His willingness to do his sister harm becomes part of the story. As an added part of the story I had Brad and Vicki trying to survive in different locations. They, with their neighbor Phil, built a bomb shelter on their property lines planning to survive there, but like all plans, it didn't occur when they expected. The story centers around Brad and Vicki, but being in different places, they each had their own problems. As an added twist, I had Brad surviving alone with a sexy, partime  actress, Michele Davies. To add to Brad's woes, she was falling for him. So there you have it. I will write more in a day or two, I didn't want to make this post too long. The picture on this post is the cover of the first story of this series.
Talk back, I'm listening as always. Have a great day.
